The indomitable lions of Cameroon’s National senior men’s team coach,Rigobert Song has chosen Joseph Apam Assongue amongst the 25 home-based players to travel for the encounter against Burundi for the second match of the AFCON qualifiers 2023. The forward who is the highest goal scorer in the on-going Mtn élite one championship with 12 goals and 2 assists will complete the list to 26 players for this expedition. He is the only home based player who has been called to reinforce the squad after the home based players’ camping and the friendly against the senior men’s team in which he scored the only goal for the home-based players who lost by 1-4.
